| OUIJI BOARD
A Ouija board also known as a spirit
board or talking board, is a flat board marked with letters, numbers and
other symbols,
supposedly used to communicate with spirits.
In 1889, the Ouiji Board was said to have been invented
by William Fuid. The patents were purchased in 1966 by the Parker Brothers,
by 1967 the Ouiji Board was extremely popular, but before too long many
people thought how dangerous the Ouiji Board was. Many Psychiatrists,
Medical Doctors, and Psychologists have written articles warning people
about the use of the Ouiji Board.
The Ouiji Board is a plain board of Masonite with a
paper top. The Alphabet, the words yes and no, and goodbye is printed on the
top. The board also has a small heart with a see through section, this is
used as the message indicator.
Two people use a Ouiji Board, they would sit across the
table from each other and lightly place their fingers on the message
indicator. One of the two people would ask a question, the indicator will
begin to move letter to letter, spelling out words or sentences, or move to
yes or no, when it is finished answering the question the indicator would
move to goodbye.
Over the years there have been reports of possession
of users, and it is important to be respectful. Some people have become very
emotionally disturbed when using it foolishly.
